Through this blog I would like to document what I am learning in my humanities course in hopes of discouraging the acceptance of war by modern society. The Humanities Core course offered at the University of California in Irvine grants me the opportunity to examine the values found in written war stories—some writings centuries old—and practically compare these values with the values that are embraced by Americans today.
